Asma: I wish to have  a mobile phone

16 years, Cancer patient

16-year-old Asma suffering from the medical condition of cancer, was solemn looking when we first approached. She was reciprocal in conversation and when asked about her wish first declined the offer. However, after multiple insistences, she finally said in a low voice that she wants a mobile phone. The reason she gave for her wish was that she would like to learn cooking on her mobile phone as she loves watching YouTube Videos, as she has a passion for cooking.
Our volunteers shortlisted the phones based on battery life and decent screen size. After, multiple options were given to Maryam on the online site, since she could not go to the market she got confused at first. But after a deliberation of some period, she chose the phone she would prefer.
After that, the ceremony was held at the special security unit where she was handed over her wish, her phone. After which, everyone had refreshments and Maryam after eating them, start watching videos of how to cook the very refreshment she has eaten. She was ecstatic after receiving her gift and thanked MAKE A WISH with a wide smile. Her parents were also thankful because they were very happy to see her daughter happy.
