03 years, Cancer Patient
M. Shayan a 3-year-old cancer patient, Volunteers were quite disheartened to see a 3-year-old in a cancer ward, but their seeming disheartenment was turned into joy when the young boy started talking. When asked about his wish, he answered with great energy, that he wanted a rechargeable bike.
Now, volunteers could not take Shayan to markets in extremely hot temperatures but Shayan had explained very well what type of bike he wanted. The problem our volunteers faced was that they could not find a bike that was fit for a 3-year-old. Therefore, they had gone to every possible market in Karachi, big or small. And, finally, the bike they got was similar to what Shayan desired. They captured pictures and showed them to Shayan, who chose the Rechargeable bike. A bright red one. It was sporty, it had long battery life and it was fit for a 3-year-old.
At the special security unit, where Make A Wish handed him the rechargeable bike wrapped neatly, the energy of already energetic Shayan doubled. He insisted on trying his new toy at that hour only. He was joyful, extremely excited to see the rechargeable bike and the smile on his face was not disappearing for quite some while. He after trying his sporty rechargeable bike, ran and hugged the Make-A-Wish representative. His parents had tears in their eyes and were extremely thankful towards Make A Wish and extremely joyful towards their young passionate and brave kid, Shayan.
